It is with great excitement that I can advise you that Will Kent, Max Saggers and Jack Noble from the Melbourne Baseball Club have successfully won the National Senior League title. This in turn, grants them a trip to the USA to compete against the best 14-16 yr old kids in the world.

The boys will be representing Australia in the International Pool, playing against the qualifiers from Asia-Pacific, Canada, Caribbean, Europe-Africa and Latin America. They will be staying at Clemson University, which I am sure will be another highlight.

A squad of 14 was selected from Melbourne’s Eastern based clubs and they competed at the State titles in Geelong in April. After going through that tournament undefeated, this qualified them for the National title, which they played in May this year, winning the final 10-0! The training and commitment of the whole squad has intensified now for this next step, it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Thanks to all at the club for the ongoing support of the boys, it is truly appreciated.
