We are pleased to announce the signings of 3 Australian All Star players, who will be joining the ranks for this upcoming season.
Aaron Whitefield:
It is with a great deal of excitement that we can announce that Aaron Whitefield will be joining the club this year. Aaron played in the MLB for the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels, and he is the current Centrefielder for Team Australia and the Melbourne Aces. Welcome Aaron!
Robbie Glendinning:
Robbie is a current member of Team Australia and the Melbourne Aces. An Infielder who hits for power and average, we can’t wait to see him at Arthur Field this summer. Check out Robbie’s Home Run against Korea in last year’s World Baseball Classic!
Curtis Mead:
Curtis has agreed to follow in his father and uncle’s footsteps and join the Baseball Section of the MCC, assisting the club whenever he is available.
Currently a part of the Adelaide Giants in the ABL and Tampa Bay Rays organisation, Curtis was the 37th Australian to make it to the Major Leagues when he debuted last year.
Hitting .278 with 10 HR’s for Triple-A affiliate Durham Bulls in 2024, we look forward to following his progress, hopefully back to Tampa soon (post some MCC games).
